The 3-day journey of the Erg Chegaga Desert dunes of the Sahara through the Draa Valley, Zagora and Mhamid.
DAY 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Drâa Valley - Zagora
Pick up at the hotel where they are staying and start the trip to the Gran Sur. We will cross the High Atlas, which is the highest and most extensive mountain range in Morocco, crowned by the Tizi-N-Tichka summit at 2260 meters altitude. It is known as the Route of the Pastures. Impressive mountain landscapes. We will stop at Ait-Ben-Haddou, and visit its Kasbah, one of the best preserved in all of North Africa and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator or the Kingdom of Heavens, they have been shot here. Arrived in Ouarzazate and panoramic tour of the city, located on top of a large plateau, also known as Hollywood of the African continent. Ouarzazate was an old military garrison and nowadays is the administrative capital of the Valley of the Drâa.
We will continue our journey along the so-called Oasis route. We will cross Ait Saoun and its mountain pass of 1660 meters, Tizi-N-Tinififft, its orography evokes impressive lunar landscapes. We continue through the Drâa Valley, 200 kilometers of palm grove that make this route one of the most beautiful in Morocco. This valley was traveled by countless commercial carvans from Black Africa.

DAY 2: Zagora - Tagounite - Erg Lihoudi - Sacred Oasis - Great Dunes of Erg Chegaga.
In the morning we will have breakfast and continue our route Tamegroute, ancient religious center famous for its Koranic Library and its open-air pottery workshops. Arrival to Tagounite we will depart to the Great Dunes, to Erg Chegaga. We will visit Erg Lihoudi or Desert the Jews, they are the first dunes where we can already appreciate the contrast of colors and their great beauty. We pass by various hammadas or stony deserts where we can find some fragment of meteorite or fosil.We will stop at the "House of the Guardian" and we will refresh in the well that he keeps. We will arrive at the Sacred Oasis, a succession of palm trees where a stream of water runs throughout the year and where the nomads take their flocks to water. Possibly in our journey we find some family of nomads willing to chat and share a glass of tea. After crossing several ouad, we arrive at Erg Chegaga, the sea of sand,
dunes of 300 meters high and 40 km long, will not leave the traveler impassive. We will enjoy a dromedary tour observing the sunset, and a great evening where the dinner will be enlivened by the music of the desert.
DAY 3: Erg Chegaga - Iriki Lake - Foum Z Guid - Tazanakht - High Atlas - Marrakech
In the morning, and after catching a glimpse of the sunrise and breakfast between the dunes, we continue our journey to Marrakech. Passing through the Iriki Lake, which in several periods of the year brings water, and is bordered by dunes, the landscape is absolutely fantastic. We arrive at Foum Zguid, an old military post. We continue to Tazenakht, important center of Ouzguda weave fabric, characteristic for its orange pattern. This track was an old section of the famous Paris-Dakar rally.
Throughout this area came numerous hunting parties with hawks that once practiced the Saudis, as indicated by some adobe ruins that still exist. We continue our way to Ouarzazate, to end the trip in Marrakech.
