Day 1: Marrkech- Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate. Distance: 30 km.
Departure from Marrakech in a southerly direction, to cross the impressive pass of Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 m!), Where the landscape will amaze us every kilometer. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before leaving these extraordinary lunar landscapes, between High and Anti Atlas. We will arrive at the Tiny Oasis, which we will see along the road, out of the hills. We will continue to Ouarzazat, where we will stay at the hotel
Day 2: Ouarzazate- Gorges du Draa- Mezguita Palms- Tamnougalt. Distance: 45 km.
After breakfast in Ouarzazat, there is a transfer for 40 kilometers to reach Aït Saoun. There we will start the bike section (off-road) to the Draa gorges and reach the Mezguita palm grove. We can have lunch in the big black basalt area, at the edge of the gorge. In the afternoon, we will go through the gorges carved by the river, and cross the first Berber villages at the southern end, with their adobe houses. Finally we will arrive to the picturesque village of Agdz (896m) and finally to Tamnougalt (874m) where we will spend the night in a cozy hotel.
Day 3: Tamnougalt- palmerales -Zagora. Distance 56 km.
After breakfast, we will continue cycling the Draa River, crossing the large palm grove and enjoying a wonderful landscape. After a stretch of track we will arrive at the Tansikht Dam, which has turned the area into an oasis. There, next to the river bank and the large forest of palm trees we will have lunch, in the territory of the Berbers. In the afternoon, the route will finally continue until Zagora (724 m.). We can choose to sleep in the camp, at the foot of the desert, or in a hotel.
Day 4: Zagora, Tagnit - foum Takat- N'srat. Distance: 63 km.
After Zagora, the large palm groves end and the great Sahara desert begins. From Zagora there are 27 km. by bicycle we will travel by asphalt in the middle of the authentic desert. Then we follow the Draa Valley, which as we will see is dry beyond Zagora.We will cross Jbel Bani taking a shortcut from Foum Takat. We will continue pedaling through a landscape of sand off the track, dotted with small oases. Finally we will reach a large area of palm trees and fields of crops, near Alghalad village, again in the river bed, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we will only have to continue one last stretch to the N'srat dunes, where we will rest during the night in the camp.
Day 5: Nasrat - Zawyat Sidi Salh - Erg Lihoudi (40 km easy trails and some stretch of sand)
After breakfast, we will be waiting for about 30 minutes of pedaling with some push of the bicycle since we will have to cross some small sand dunes. Soon we will reach a stretch of track and path of the mainland that will lead us to the village of Zawiyat Salh Sidi, where we can take the traditional tea with mint in a private house. We will continue along a stretch of dry land, next to the sand dunes crossing Jbel ben Sliman until lunch, in the middle of the road, under the shadows of some acacia trees. We will continue to the heart of the Sahara desert, with its high dunes, to enjoy an authentic night in the camp.
Day 6 Erg Lihoudi - Transfer back to Marrakech (400 km by car)
After breakfast we will pick up the camp and drive back to Marrakech. But we will stop first to visit the pottery in the village Tagnite, where we will have the opportunity to see how dishes, pots and other kitchen utensils are made. We will also visit the Koranic library and then continue through Zagoura to Ouarzart, where we will stop for lunch at the restaurant. Finally, after passing the Tichka Pass at 2260m to cross the Atlas Mountains, we will arrive in Marrakesh again, to spend the night in a pleasant Riad.
Day 7. Marrakech
After breakfast, departure to the airport.
